FCE students loved reading together to celebrate World Reading Day! Students paired together and each read a book! It was such a fun time for students and teachers!!

FCE students enjoyed celebrating World Read Aloud Day with a "Selfie Station" in the library!

To celebrate World Read Aloud Day, FCE teachers performed a re-enactment of "Tacky the Penguin" to show their love of reading!

We want to say thank you to our wonderful counselor Mrs. Parker! She is an amazing role model for our students and a great supporter of our staff! She is the best counselor in every way! ❤️❤️

Ackerman Elementary School would like to thank the Healthcare & Sports Med Students from CCCTC for coming to teach a lesson on handwashing to 2nd grade. They did an experiment to show the importance of using soap, a fun dance to remember the steps, and a “glitter high-five” activity to see just how quickly germs can spread. #teamAES

Mrs. Hollis has her 6th graders at Ackerman Elementary School working hard on math skills! Interquartile range and coordinate graphing was on the agenda for these students! #teamAES

Kindergarten is practicing their letter writing skills this week in the Dramatic Play Post Office Center!

Mrs. Chase and Ms. KeKey's 2nd Grade Math Class have been introduced to the concept of multiplication using groups. In the following weeks students will begin learning about arrays (using columns and rows). They have been solving simple multiplication problems and learning the concepts of vocabulary terms like product and repeated addition. We are proud of their progress as we prepare for third grade. #WeirExcellenceShines
