In honor of our country’s 250th birthday, this year’s Homecoming theme is Party in the USA! We are so excited to celebrate all week long with school spirit, fun activities, and of course, our Homecoming dress-up days!

6th grade students in Mrs. McCulloch’s writing class at Ackerman Elementary have been researching the events of September 11, 2001 to remember and honor those affected by that tragic day. Through reading informational texts and watching news footage from the events, students have gained a deeper understanding of how September 11 impacted our nation. They are now using what they have learned to write an essay explaining the many ways this tragedy affected Americans and changed life in the United States. #teamAES #GrowingGreatness
