#1 IN MISSISSIPPI! Ackerman Elementary 4th Grade ELA students ranked 1st out of 388 schools in the state! Their outstanding performance also helped Choctaw County School District rank 8th out of 143 districts statewide in 4th Grade ELA. What an incredible accomplishment for our students, teachers, and schools!
Mrs. Hall always helps out where she is needed at WES and does it with a smile. We are thankful for all she does to help our students be successful.
Students at WES who scored proficient or advanced on all their state tests enjoyed ice cream sundaes.
3rd Grade Math Success is another reason to celebrate! French Camp Elementary ranked 9th out of 389 schools statewide in 3rd Grade Math! Breaking into the Top 10 in Mississippi is an outstanding accomplishment and a reflection of the hard work happening in our classrooms every day. Congratulations to our students and teachers!

Starting strong with 3rd Grade ELA! We’re kicking off our celebration of outstanding state assessment results with some incredible news! French Camp Elementary ranked 1st out of 390 schools in Mississippi in 3rd Grade ELA, while Ackerman Elementary ranked 2nd out of 390 schools! Together, these outstanding results helped Choctaw County School District rank 2nd out of 143 districts statewide in 3rd Grade ELA! We are incredibly proud of our students and teachers for this amazing accomplishment!
Mrs. Woodard and Mrs. Brown's Kindergarten wrapped up their Apple Unit with a sweet and tasty celebration! After a week of learning, exploring, and all things apples, their little learners enjoyed some yummy apple treats to finish it off! 🍏😋
After reading Why Do Leaves Change Color?, Mrs. Woodard and Mrs. Brown's kindergartners took their learning outdoors for a nature hunt. They explored their surroundings, searched for signs of fall, observed different leaves, and talked about the color, shapes, and changes they noticed in nature. 🍃🍂🍁 There’s nothing better than taking what we learn from a book and experiencing it in the real.
In kindergarten at FCE this week we have learned about our five senses. We enjoyed making air popped popcorn and smashing into a coconut. We were not a fan of the taste of the coconut!

First grade had a fun-filled Friday! We made adorable scarecrows and enjoyed some flexible seating. They had the best day!
