Weir Elementary School library received a shipment of books that will be ready for students to check out after spring break. We were able to purchase more than sixty new books for our students from donations made to our library in memory of Mrs. Mae Balentine. We are grateful for our new library books.

Students in Mrs. Telano’s 5th and 6th grade reading class worked extremely hard the month of February researching influential African Americans from the past and present. Each student was given a person to research and learn about. They then chose how to present their findings. These students chose to create poster boards to showcase their famous African American. Other students created a Google Slide presentation.
