After reading The Islanders by Mary Alice Monroe and Angela May, Mrs. Gant's students at Ackerman Elementary School worked on several stations that related to the novel (painting sea turtles, researching specific turtles and creating an informational poster with a plan of conservation with logo, and designing something to help protect sea turtle's nests). They also enjoyed snacks that the main characters enjoyed on their stakeouts. Part 1 #teamAES
