Choctaw County Youth Basketball Schedule

Choctaw County Little League Basketball practice this week has been changed to Tuesday (tomorrow, 2/6/24) night. There will be no practice Thursday.

Mrs. Lisa’s and Mrs. Felicia’s PreK students at Ackerman Elementary learned about Groundhog’s Day and shadows. The students watched the famous groundhog, Punxsutawney Phil, announce his weather prediction and made a groundhog craft to make their own predictions. #teamAES








Mrs. Lindsey's and Ms. Geneva's students at at Ackerman Elementary School learned about groundhogs and Groundhog Day. Then they watched to see if Phil saw his shadow, voted on the groundhog seeing his shadow, and did crafts and writing for Groundhog Day! #teamAES








Healthcare and Clinical Services students completed the suture and staple laceration repair activity. Congratulations to Kailee Pittman for winning first place in first block and congratulations to Mary Boykin for winning first place in third block.




The Choctaw County SkillsUSA chapter is at East Central Community College for regional contest today. Good luck to all competitors!

After learning about Groundhog’s Day students in Mrs Hollie and Mrs Lewis’ class at Ackerman Elementary School made their predictions and watched a news segment to find out if Phil saw his shadow. Then each student was given the opportunity to play with their shadows by making shadow puppets or shadow silhouettes. Part 2 #teamAES
