First Year Ag Power students are disassembling small 3hp engines in order to discuss system functions and part identification. They will reassemble and perform system checks such as compression and engine timing.


The students in Mrs. Utley’s 5th and 6th grade PACE classes at Ackerman Elementary will be participating in Robot Wars for the next few weeks. The 5th graders helped to decipher, test, and edit the coded programs designed and written by the 6th graders in their class Monday.

Students in Mrs. Chamblee’s 6th grade class at Ackerman Elementary School are working on making inferences. Students are having to use clues to infer what item is in the box without seeing it.

Mrs. Lisa’s and Mrs. Margie’s PreK students at Ackerman Elementary School concluded their unit study on forest animals by discussing groundhogs. They learned what groundhogs eat, where they live, and some information about Groundhog’s Day.
