
Ackerman Elementary School had some wonderful 1st grade office workers on Wednesday. These students helped organize items for the food drive, sorted and restocked the PBIS store, and delivered handouts! They worked hard and did a great job.




Mrs. Morrow’s 5th graders at Ackerman Elementary School had a visit from Mrs. Loper on Wednesday. She completed a lesson with students using Stem Scopes that focused on the solar system and distance from the sun

The November Students of the Month for CCCTC in the Ag Power Program include: Peter Clark (Ag Power I) and Wyatt Baxter (Ag Power II).


At CCCTC, Mr. Black's carpentry students worked with Mrs. Fondren to build a raised planting bed for use in the Culinary department. Mrs. Fondren's class will soon fill the raised planting bed with fresh herbs and vegetables to be used in kitchen labs.


It is a busy day at CCCTC. Mr. Black's Construction & Carpentry students are building a toy box while Mr. Vance's Ag Power students are tackling a variety of tasks including grinding, welding, and replacing bolts!





The November Students of the Month in the Health Science programs include: Mooka Hardin (Health Science Core); Morgan Fulgham (Health Science Core); Sierra Jones (Nursing); and Macy Cagle (Sports Medicine).


The November CCCTC Students of the Month in the Culinary Arts programs include: Jaci Weeks (Culinary Arts I); Za'Raiyah Jones (Culinary Arts I); and Elijah Lampard (Culinary Arts II).


The CCCTC November Students of the Month for the Construction/Carpentry programs include: Scottlan McNutt (Construction) and Jesse Hall (Carpentry).


Ackerman Elementary School’s food drive to support Broken Wings ends on Thursday! Don’t forget to send items to help stock the pantry!


Students in Mrs. Barnett’s 3rd grade class at Ackerman Elementary School have been working on descriptive details in writing. Today, they had a pie tasting and wrote to describe the type of pie chosen.



Students in Mrs. Talley and Mrs. McMullen’s kindergarten class at WES did a great job disguising their Tom the Turkey to keep him safe this Thanksgiving.


The Choctaw County basketball teams will be in action on Thursday night against Starkville Academy. The varsity girls will tip off at 5:30 followed by the varsity boys. Come out and support our athletes.


CCCTC Students in Mrs. Stirewalt's Health Science Class replaced batteries and pads on the AED machines throughout campus. Nurse Beard gathered the information on specific supplies needed and allowed our students the opportunity to replace the expiring parts for the experience.




The CCCTC Sports Medicine Class utilized an Egg Drop Activity to simulate high energy impacts involving the head during contact sports. The students learned how helmets are designed to prevent traumatic brain injuries making helmets for their eggs before dropping them 20ft.




Shopping at the PBIS store was on the agenda for these 4th graders at Ackerman Elementary School. Some students chose to save and some purchased items with their Charger Bucks! Good behavior and great character are helping these students earn lots of bucks!


Students in Mrs. Barnett’s 3rd grade class at Ackerman Elementary School had a busy few days!! Recently they became text feature surgeons!





This WES class is having a great time constructing their plant mazes. Trial and error is a great teacher, they are working together to help their plants grow towards the light they create.
