Weir Elementary School hosted their 1st Annual School Science Fair. Students in grades 1st through 6th participated. In first grade students worked either with a partner or individually. Here are the winners:
1st Place - Lloyd Watts and Janaliah Thomas Taste and Smell (Does our nose help us taste?); 2nd Place - Hannah Slater - Penguins (Does their blubber keep them warm?); and 3rd Place Natasia Pruitt and Lailah Jabari Plant Straws (Will the food coloring in the water change the color of the plants when they drink the water?) #WeirExcellenceShines
Baylor Christensen, a 2nd grader at Ackerman Elementary School, bought a pass to be a Principal for a Day! She did a great job today helping and announcing at programs, and she also enjoyed lunch from Weavers! #teamAES
