Mrs, Joni’s, Mrs. Mitzi’s, and Mrs. Brenda’s students learned about MLK. They learned that just because things look different on the outside, it doesn’t mean they are always different on the inside. They also talked about how everyone deserved to be treated equally. #teamAES

Mrs. Christi’s PACE classes at Ackerman Elementary School studied about Dr Martin Luther King Jr. Students honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through creating an art piece that symbolizes freedom. The students drew a hand filled with a mosaic of colors to represent diversity in our world. They selected symbols of what freedom means to them in the background. #teamAES
