Ms. Conerly’s and Ms. Fairley’s Kindergartners at WES enjoyed making t-shirts, hats, and snakes with 100 spots on the 100th day of school. They ended their celebration by watching 101 Dalmatians while eating cupcakes.

Weir Elementary School received a $5,000 TVA/STEM Award for VEX123,VEXGO, and VEXIQ Bots to scaffold the student robotics education at Weir Elementary. This opportunity allows Weir students an opportunity to apply the STEM robotics skills at each grade level.

Weir Elementary School Robotics Club participated in the Bagley School of Engineering VEXIQ Competition on January 13th. This was Weir Elementary School’s first robotics competition. We are so proud of them!

Due to poor road conditions in parts of the county, ALL Choctaw County Schools will be closed tomorrow, Friday, January 19th.
Choctaw County Little League Basketball Practice scheduled for Thursday, January 18th is cancelled due to Choctaw County School District being closed to hazardous road conditions.
Due to hazardous road conditions and refreezing tonight due to extremely cold temperatures, ALL Choctaw County Schools will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, January 18th.
