Weir Elementary School robotics competition day, May 12, 2025

Weir Elementary School robotics. Each team received a vex IQ
certificate of completion, team job certificate, and a Weir Robotics
certificate of completion. These teams worked hard to design and
engineer robots capable of picking up blocks to load in baskets and
code robots to drive without a driver. #weirexcellenceshines
Weir Elementary School robotics held their competition on May 12,
2025. Students built robots capable of picking up blocks and moving
them to baskets. Teams also had to code their robots to maneuver
through a maze and park it in the square. Each team received points
for teamwork, problem-solving, programming for the maze, and points
for each block in the basket(in one minute). #WeirExcellenceShines

Students in grades 3rd-6th enjoyed lunch at China Garden today! These students showed Benchmark Growth! Great Job!
Yesterday, Sixth Graders enjoyed a wonderful luncheon from our wonderful lunch ladies along with a special surprise visit from Mrs. Ashford.

WES had their annual Teacher Appreciation Week steak and chicken lunch. THANK YOU so much to our PTO for the steaks and chicken, Stan Lester and Andy Young for their grilling expertise, Ms. Angie Stevenson for the desserts, and Ms. Angie, Ms. Kay, and Ms. Pam for the awesome salad bar and baked potatoes! There’s no better place to work than WES!
