Since October was Bullying Awareness Month, Mrs. Lucas had her 6th graders at Ackerman Elementary School perform skits that recognized situations that involved bullying, how a bystander can impact bullying, and build skills to prevent bullying. #teamAES



5th graders at Ackerman Elementary School are doing a fundraiser for their grade. Students throughout the school can purchase feathers to dress their grade level turkey. The turkey with the most feathers at the end of the month wins a prize for their grade. #teamAES


Ackerman Elementary School would like to thank Ackerman 20th Century Club for the amazing video they created for the school to share! Mrs. Jean Ann Brock read the book "Jungle Bullies" virtually to students and the video was shown as part of Kindness Month. The club also donated the book to the school's library. #teamAES

The 6th grade gifted students at AES held a Mock Presidential Election on Monday to conclude their unit on the constitution and the election process. Each gifted student got the opportunity to be poll workers or poll marshal as each 2nd through 6th grade student voted at their appointed precinct. After a long day, the votes were counted and Donald J Trump was determined the winner after receiving 227 votes to Joe Biden’s 90 votes. #teamAES
