Ackerman Elementary School wants to take the opportunity to celebrate Mrs. Alison Brasher, our school counselor. For School Counselor’s week, the students and staff went all out to make sure Mrs. Brasher knows how much she is appreciated. Mrs. Lisa’s and Mrs. Margie’s PreK students at Ackerman Elementary School pretended to be paleontologists today. They chiseled away at dinosaur eggs and hatched their own dinosaurs. Then, each child found his/her dinosaur name on the information sheet and learned more information about it. In PreK, messy hands and smiles mean they had FUN! #teamAES

Mrs. Lisa’s and Mrs. Margie’s PreK students at Ackerman Elementary learned about Groundhog’s Day 2021. The students watched a video of Punxsutawney Phil being woken up to predict the weather, read a Scholastic Weekly Reader about shadows, and they made their own groundhogs. The students took the groundhogs outside to see if they could see the shadows. #teamAES
