Ackerman Elementary School is in the second year of implementing PBIS. PBIS focuses on rewarding students for good behavior and encourages positive characteristics. As part of PBIS, AES has implemented the use of “Charger Bucks.” Students earn bucks daily for their good behavior. Students then cash these bucks in at the school’s PBIS store every two weeks for prizes or coupons.
